Description:
The Automatic Double-Head Pipe Threading System with Pipe Transfer Gripper is developed for high-efficiency automatic threading of steel pipes in fire protection and MEP prefabrication applications.
Traditional double-end pipe threading operations usually require operators to manually transfer, rotate or reposition pipes between threading processes. This becomes especially challenging when processing short pipe sections or long pipes, increasing labor requirements and reducing production consistency.
This system combines two automatic threading heads with a servo-controlled pipe transfer gripper system. The gripper automatically clamps and transfers the pipe between two threading positions, allowing continuous double-end threading without manual pipe turning.
The mechanical pipe transfer grippers provide reliable holding performance during pipe movement, reducing pipe displacement and improving threading accuracy.
The system uses XWPTS intelligent pipe threading units and includes multiple configurations:

• XWPTS50A: Suitable for 1/2"-2" (DN15-DN50) pipe threading
• XWPTS65A: Suitable for 1/2"-2.5" (DN15-DN65) pipe threading
• XWPTS80A: Suitable for 1/2"-3" (DN15-DN80) pipe threading

The pipe transfer gripper system enables automatic processing from 300mm short pipe sections to 6m long pipes. The transfer structure and pipe handling distance can be customized according to customer requirements and workshop layout.
Equipped with intelligent PLC control, hydraulic pipe clamping and servo-driven pipe transfer, the system provides stable pipe movement, accurate positioning and consistent thread quality during continuous production.
