How to Install the Die Head Chasers of a Pipe Threading Machine
Here are the installation steps for the die head chasers of a pipe threading machine:
- Select the correct set of chasers according to the pipe diameter. Each set of chasers bears two sets of numbers. One set indicates the chaser size, which is identical for every chaser in the set, e.g. 3/4. The other set shows the mounting sequence numbers, such as 1, 2, 3, 4.
- Lift and remove the die head from the slide frame. Loosen the handle nut and rotate the cam disc to its maximum‑scale position.
- Fit the selected chasers one by one into the die head slots following their corresponding sequence numbers. Their locking notches will engage with the cam disc. Turn the cam disc to align its scale indicator line with the scale mark for the workpiece to be threaded. Tighten the handle nut to secure the chasers in position. Swing the die head upward for standby use.
- Turn the pitch‑adjusting dial to the position matching the required size.
These are the steps for installing the chasers. Hope this is helpful for you.
