Precautions for Using a Pipe Tapering Machine

1. Before using the pipe tapering machine, perform a no-load test run to ensure it operates normally before commencing formal operation.
2. The forward-reverse switch of the pipe tapering machine should be installed in an easily accessible position and must be safe and reliable.
3. The pipe tapering machine generally operates at low speed. For machines with a gear box, select an appropriate speed based on the quality of the threaded pipe produced. Do not accelerate step by step to prevent thread damage or deformation of the pipe end. Maintain the oil level in the gear box within the specified range.
4. Do not use hammering to tighten or loosen the rear stopper, feed handle, or movable scale of the pipe tapering machine. When threading long pipes, the end must be properly padded and supported to prevent swinging. After threading is complete, loosen the feed handle, rear stopper, and pipe clamp before slowly withdrawing the pipe to avoid damaging the threads.
5. Complete threading in one operation. Apply oil to cool and lubricate the threading area during each use to ensure smooth thread surfaces and extend the life of the dies.
6. After using the pipe tapering machine, promptly disconnect the power supply, clean up metal chips, and remove oil stains from the machine. For long-term storage, apply oil and store it properly.
